Baby Name Quilt

Baby Name Quilt - {The Ribbon Retreat Blog}

This fun quilt is going to be used for our monthly photo shoots
documenting Little Brady’s growing body.

I wish I had it finished before he was born,
but starting at 2 1/2 months isn’t the end of the world. 😉

If you have a baby coming on the way, or know someone who does, this would be so fun to make!

I will do a tutorial series on how to make this quilt top and back, how to baste it, and how to quilt it.

With this quilt, I quilted it by sewing stars and the border.
I LOVE it!

On Friday, I will start with supplies needed for this particular quilt and all the instructions on making the top and back.

Then on separate posts, I’ll go over basting and quilting.
Did I mention I love these stars? 🙂

Some fabrics that would be great for this quilt are:

Alphabet Soup by Zoe Pearn for Riley Blake

Hoo’s in the Forest by Doohikey Designs for Riley Blake

and so many more!

Also check out our Basics Fabric, solids and dots, for the main part of the quilt.

Make sure to come back on Friday and check out the tutorial.
See ya then!

Any suggestions for a walking presser foot for a New Home L372?

Hi Rachel. Thank you so much for your question. That is a great question, and I personally do not have a suggestion for you. However, I have turned to my machine’s owners manual so many times for questions just like yours. Good luck and hope you have a wonderful day! Michelle 🙂
