Oh, how I LOVE this bow!
I love it for many different reasons.
First, I love it because it uses the Pinwheel technique. I haven’t done this technique much, but it is just fun and really easy to do! Especially with the bow maker!
Second, I love it because of the cute little heart in the middle. I don’t know if this bow could be any cuter because of that heart.
Third, I love the Doodlehearts White/Red Valentine’s Day Ribbon.
I used Red Solid Grosgrain in 1 1/2″ to make a bow using the Pinwheel Bow technique (click the link for the instructions).
Then I used the Doodlehearts White/Red Valentine’s Day Ribbon in 1 1/2″ to make a bow using the Pinwheel technique as well. I made this bow on half a setting lower for the bow maker than the first Pinwheel bow.
Then I combined the two bows, putting the tails in opposite directions. I combined them using a needle and thread and tightening it.
I made a cute little heart out of Red Solid Grosgrain Ribbon in 3/8″.
To make it I folded it in half, hot glued the center together, then brought down the ends of the ribbon and shaped a heart. Then I hot glued the bottom together and cut with scissors where I wanted. After that, I sealed the ends with my lighter.
I covered the center of my Pinwheel bow with White Solid Grosgrain Ribbon in 1/4″ to hide the threads. Then I hot glued the heart on the center of the bow. I used very little glue on the edges of the heart and then put it on the bow. It is not an extremely strong hold, but it will be strong enough until Valentine’s Day!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!!!! I have yet to try the Pinwheel bow… I’ve been kind of scared, LOL! This bow really is the cutest bow ever!!! I don’t think it could be any cuter! I’m going to have to play today and try one out! SUPER cute and I LOVE the ribbon you used and the heart center! <3
I didn’t even notice the center was ribbon, I thought it was a cute button thing! I think i would try to stitch it on if the glue didn’t hold. Very cute printed hearts ribbon!
love love love this bow, I think it will be made this weekend!
